The winners of the 74th Cannes International Film Festival have been announced.
The press service of the Union of Cinematographers of the Republic of Azerbaijan reports with reference to the Russian press that taking the top prize, the Palme d’Or in the official selection was Titane, the latest film from Julia Ducournau.
Leos Carax won the best director award for his musical drama Annette, while Hamaguchi Ryusuke won the best screenplay for the film “Drive My Car”.
The Grand Prix was shared by two films at once – “Coupe number 6” by Finnish director Juho Kuosmanen and “Hero” by Iranian Asgar Farhadi.
Be reminded that 24 films were featured in the main program of the Cannes Film Festival starting from July 7.
