100th anniversary of the national artist Ajdar Ibrahimov - PHOTOS

On October 29, the Nizami Cinema Center celebrated the 100th anniversary of the national artist of Azerbaijan and the USSR, film director Ajdar Ibrahimov.

 

According to the press service of the Union of Cinematographers of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the anniversary ceremony started with the screening of the documentary film by Nizami Abbas "Narahat Adam" (Embarrassing man).

Then, photo slides were shown reflecting the life and activity of A. Ibrahimov.

Director of the Azerbaijanfilm studio named after Jafar Jabbarli, Honoured Artist Jamil Guliyev, speaking at the event, said that the activities of Ajdar Ibrahimov were very intensive. He said: “A prominent director went through the war and participated in the liberation of several countries. Then he started his career in cinema. Later, he was sent to Vietnam. The famous film directors of Vietnamese cinema worked in his workshop. People's artist made a great contribution to Vietnamese cinema. The activity of A. Ibrahimov was also associated with Mosfilm. He worked in this studio not as an ordinary employee, but  the head of a large association. Some well-known nowadays Russian film directors at that time were supported by Ajdar Ibrahimov. People's Artist of the USSR also participated in the construction of a cultural bridge between Russia and Turkey. ”

Jamil Guliyev said that Ajdar Ibrahimov, who played a big role in the development of Azerbaijani cinema, with his every work found a way to the heart of the audience. He was always a man who loved Turkism and Azerbaijanism.

The director’s spouse Margarita Maleyeva said that everyone was interested in the way they lived together. She noted that she was aware of her husband's greatness and always tried to conform to his level. A. Ibrahimov taught his wife the secrets of the screenplay and helped her come to the cinema.

The eminent culture figure cameraman Rafig Gambarov spoke about the film, shot together with the director. He noted that for him, a young cameraman at that time, it was a great honor to work with such an artist as Ibrahimov A.

Russian film director Boris Blank shared his joint experience with the director and said that A. Ibrahimov always treated people with warmth and was extremely responsible in his work.
