Hasan Turabov will be commemorated

On November 15, an event dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the prominent representative of the Azerbaijani theater and cinema, People`s Artist Hasan Turabov will be held in Baku. 

 

 

According to press service of the Union of Cinematographers of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the event, which will take place at the Academic National Drama Theater, will be realized with the joint organizational support of the Ministry of Culture and Arts Center. They will talk about the services of the unforgettable actor in the development of our national cinema and will inform about his creative activity within the framework of the event.           

Hasan Turabov, who benefited from the centuries-old rich cultural traditions of Azerbaijan, created a unique style by bringing innovations owing to the possibilities given by his innate talent and added brilliant pages to the national culture chronicle. The roles with complex characters and various outlooks which were played by the artist in numerous spectacles and films are valuable art pieces, which took an everlasting part in the history of theater and cinematography of the country.   

Hasanagha Turabov was born on March 24, 1938 in Baku. After graduating from the high school, he entered the Azerbaijan Art Institute and graduated from there in the specialty of acting in 1960. Since that time he started his acting life at the Azerbaijan Drama Theater and worked in this theater until the end of his life. In 1987-2001, he worked as the director and artistic director of the theater. 

Hasanagha Turabov created interesting and memorable roles in some feature films, including television films. Garay bey in the film “Yeddi Oghul Isterem” is one of his most memorable roles. Another memorable role that he played is Afshin that he created in the film “Babek”. The roles of the actor in “Akhirinji Ashirim” (The Last cross), “Dantenin yubileyi” (Anniversary of Dante), “Gem penjeresi”, “Beyin oghurlanmasi” and other films distinguish with their performing style.   

The artist, who was the director of the film “Ganli Zemi” (Bloody Field), was lastly played in the films “Family” and “What a Wonderful World”.
