A solemn ceremony dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev was held in Baku.
President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, his wife Mehriban Aliyeva, and family members attended the ceremony held at the Heydar Aliyev Center, reports the press service of the Cinematographers Union of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The head of state made a speech at the ceremony.
Then winners of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation`s International Award “Golden Chenar” 2018 were announced.
President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva handed “Golden Chenar” International Award to People's Artist of Azerbaijan, State Prize Laureate, holder of Shohrat, Sharaf and Istiglal orders Rauf Abdullayev for his contribution to the development and promotion of Azerbaijani national musical culture and for his competent continuation of the traditions of the Azerbaijani school of conductorship, First Deputy General Director of the Russian news agency ITAR-TASS, holder of Dostlug and Shohrat orders of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mikhail Gusman for his special role in strengthening cultural cooperation and mutual relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation, in building the world community`s awareness of the Azerbaijani realities, and to People's Artist of Azerbaijan, prominent filmmaker and screenwriter, holder of Shohrat and Sharaf orders Eldar Guliev for his outstanding contribution to the development of the Azerbaijani cinema culture.
The ceremony was followed by a concert programme.
The Board of Directors of the Cinematographers Union of the Republic of Azerbaijan congratulates the Secretary of the Union, the well-known stage director Eldar Guliyev on the occasion of the “Golden Chenar” Award granting, wishes health and success in his work.
