Today, in the 1st and 2nd Alley of Honour graves of a number of screen personalities have been visited on the occasion of National Cinema Day, which will be celebrated tomorrow in our country.
The press service of the Cinematographers Union of the Republic of Azerbaijan reports that the Board of Directors of the organization visited the graves of the prominent screen personalities Hasan Seyidbayli, Tofig Taghizada, Rasim Ojagov, Mukhtar Dadashov, Huseyn Seyidzada, Adil Isgandarov, Rza Tahmasib, Ismayil Osmanli, Leyla Badirbayli, Rashid Behbudov, Nasiba Zeynalova, Alasgar Alakbarov, Najiba Malikova, Barat Shakinskaya, Malik Dadashov, Lutfali Abdullayev, Aghahuseyn Javadov, Mammad Alili, Hasan Turabov, Shahmar Alakbarov, Hajibaba Baghirov, Yashar Nuri, Sayavush Aslan, Elbay Rzaguliyev and other artists, placed bunches of flowers to the gravestones and prayed.
The visit was held with the organizational support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Cinematographers Union of the Republic of Azerbaijan and “Salnama” State Studio.
It should be noted that, by the decree of National Leader Heydar Aliyev dated December 18, 2000, the professional holiday of film makers - the Day of Azerbaijan Cinema is celebrated on August 2.
