The Union of Cinematographers of the Republic of Azerbaijan extended the deadline of the contest of articles and reviews titled “Azerbaijani cinema: yesterday, today and tomorrow” announced on the occasion of the 120th anniversary of the Azerbaijani cinema.

 

According to the press service of the Union, the deadline was extended for one month, considering the great interest in the contest.

Those who want to participate in the contest can submit their articles and reviews to the Union of Cinematographers of the Republic of Azerbaijan by the end of June.

 

The contest is held to develop creative activities of young people in the field of cinematography, to reveal young and talented authors, as well as to bring new ideas to our national cinema. The contest is also intended to create opportunities for young people working in other areas to get experience in cinema and thereby strengthen existing competition.

 

Articles and reviews dedicated to Azerbaijani cinema are accepted to the contest. All people under the age of 30 can submit their articles and reviews to the contest. The copyrights of the articles and reviews submitted to the contest must belong to the authors and not be published in the press. Articles and reviews should be submitted in three copies, printed and on a CD digital carrier, being no more than 10 pages. Font Courier New, size 12 is required. The name and surname of the author should not be indicated in published articles and reviews. The author should submit a resume and a copy of the identity card together with the article and review.

Each author should submit no more than 3 (three) articles and reviews. Articles and reviews submitted to the contest will not be returned.

 

The winner of the contest will receive 1000, second place owner 750, third place - 500 manat. The first place will be awarded with cash prize of 1000 manat, second place with 750 manat, and third place with 500 manat.
