On June 8 at the State Theater Museum named after J. Jabbarly held an event on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the outstanding representative of theater and cinema art, People's Artist Hasanagha Turabov.

 

The event was organized by the support of the Ministry of Culture, the Azerbaijan State Theater Museum, the Cinematographers Union of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the State Film Fund, as the press service of the Cinematographers Union of the Republic of Azerbaijan reports. First, the guests watched the photo exhibition, reflecting the life and work of the artist. Then a video clip about the actor was shown.

Artistic manager and director of the Azerbaijan State Academic National Drama Theater, People's Artist Azerpasha Nematov spoke about the life and work of an unforgettable actor and shared his memories of him.

First Secretary of the Cinematographers Union of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jamil Guliyev told about the creative path of the actor. He noted that Hasanagha Turabov, who used the centuries-old rich cultural traditions of Azerbaijan, created his own style and wrote bright pages in the chronicle of national culture, brought innovations to the stage due to his innate talent and work. J. Guliyev said that the scene in which he acted and the screen works are valuable pearls that took a permanent place among the achievements in the history of theater and cinematography of the country.

It was noted that Hasanagha Turabov was born on March 24, 1938 in Baku. He graduated from the Azerbaijan Institute of Arts in 1960 as an actor, began his career at the Azerbaijan State Drama Theater and worked at this theater until the end of his life. In 1987-2001, he worked as a director and artistic manager of the theater.

An outstanding actor created interesting images in many screen works. He starred in episodes of the films "Black Stones", "Telephonist girl", "The research Continues", "Why Are You Silent?", "Sevil". The image of Gerai Bek in the film "My seven sons" is one of his most memorable roles. Another successful role is the image of Afshin in the film "Babek". His roles in the films "The Last Pass", "The Jubilee of Dante", "The Window of Sorrow”, "The Groom has been stolen" and others also have a distinctive style. The actor was the director of the movie "Bloody Land", and was last shot in the films "Family" and "How wonderful the world is".

Then the cinematographer, honored art worker Aydin Kazymzadeh, theater critic Aydin Talibzadeh, friends of the actor - people's artists Rafig Azimov and Haji Ismailov shared their memories of him.

Yalcin Turabov, his son, on behalf of the artist's family thanked everyone who contributed to the organization of the event.
