Golden Globe was presented

The 75th Golden Globe Awards presentation ceremony was held in Los Angeles on January, 8.

 

 

According to the Press Service of the Union of Cinematographers of Azerbaijan Republic, “Three Billboards outside Ebbing, Missouri” by Martin McDonagh won the Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture – Drama.

 

The film tells the story of a lonely mother's challenge against local authorities who did not want to reveal her daughter - Angela`s murder. It should be noted that the film was awarded in three more nominations. Screenwriter Martin McDonagh won the Golden Globe for Best Screenplay, Sam Rockwell for Best Supporting Actor and Frances McDormand for Best Actress in a Motion Picture - Drama.

 

Gary Oldman won the Golden Globe for Best Drama Actor in a Motion Picture at today`s presentation ceremony for his role as Winston Churchill in “Darkest Hour”.

 

“Lady Bird” took the prize for Best Musical or Comedy.

 

“Big Little Lies” won the prize for Best Television Limited Series and Nicole Kidman, who plays in the same series for Best Actress in a Limited Series. The other winners of this series were Laura Dern for Best Supporting Actress in a Limited Series and Alexander Skarsgard for Best Supporting Actor.

 

“The Handmaid`s Tale” won the Golden Globe for Best Television Series - Drama. And “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” won the prize for Best Television Comedy or Musical Series.

 

The winner in the category of Best Film in Foreign Language was “In the Fade” by German-Turkish film director Fatih Akin. It should be noted that “Loveless” by Andrey Zvyagintsev also was among competitors in this nomination.
